As a charity, Belper Blue Box is run entirely by volunteers, organised through its 3 different sub-groups, which meet on a regular basis to help co-ordinate activities and progress specific tasks. People can get involved in the following sub-groups:
- Alder Road Centre management committee – to manage the Centre and ensure it is fit for community use.
- Community Activities and Fundraising – to plan and deliver community activities, as well as consult with residents and service providers around the delivery of future activities. This group also helps organise community fundraising activities.
- Media, Communication and Marketing – to manage the website, social media and communications, as well as develop a marketing strategy for the charity’s activities.

- Volunteers to help expand our current projects, e.g. Cuppa Cake Chat and Parks Craft Group.
- Volunteers to support the expansion of our youth projects.
- Volunteers to help us manage and maintain the Alder Road Community Centre.
- Volunteers to join the Media, Communication & Marketing sub-group.
- An administrator to help with some of the charity’s secretarial tasks.
- Specialist advisors for the trustees, e.g. Community Building Management.
